X-Ray & Vav Ep Notes

Pilot - R&R Connection
Begins with a flashback scene of Ryan and Ray in the Library. Establish Ray, Ryan, Gavin, and Geoff as MCs. Ray and Gavin forming a new superhero duo. Being a superhero as a dayjob.
"Have you ever been called X-Ray?"
Position Endermen as main threat to peace in city. Library as Chekov's gun. Geoff as benevolent boss superhero.
Lampshade Gavin's interest in Slowmotion, Ray's roses.

Ep 2 - Team Nice Dynamite
Introduce Jack, Lindsay and Michael. Mention Caleb and Kerry. Discuss superhero team names and contracts. Team Nice Dynamite, Same Voice, and Ray as a freelancer. Minor conflict between Team Nice Dynamite and X-Ray & Vav, before the loose Team Lads alliance is formed. Discussion of new superhero clothes, and Geoff valiantly trying to assert control - "I'm in charge!" Lampshade Gavin lacking a licence and being a terrible driver. A pogo stick?!

Ep 3 - Achievement City
Introduce Kerry, Caleb, and the city itself as characters. Lampshade Geoff's house ("I'm renting that cloud.") and Ray's ("it's literally made of dirt!"). Lots of aerial tracking shots of characters walking through the streets. Mostly shot at night and in rain/drizzle/fog. Emphasis on how subtly wrong AH City is. Noirish feel.
Reference things: Library, European Twink Importers, European Twinks R Us, Schnee Dust Company, Headlight Fluid suppliers. Debut X-Ray and Vav costumes. Huckingbam Palace is explored, leading to the immortal line: "There's a creeper fighting a penguin in Huckingbam Palace!"

Ep 4 - Going Cakeless
Parkour, #YOLO, and cakes constantly getting in Ray's way. Gavin accidentally making a pass at Lindsay and getting beaten up by Michael - "I'll nomen on your clature." Endermen getting beaten up. Going clubbing as X-Ray and Vav and it not going well.
"Dude, do you even lift?" "Dude, recycle!" "Do you even lift..?" (from the recycling bin). Tower of Pimps in a background shot. References to Wipeout, Shopping List, Wool Collection.

Ep 5 - The Mad King
Ryan is elected as new 'king' superhero of AH City. Things rapidly go down the gurgler. He begins asking for things to be brought back to him in his secret lair in the Library.
"Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card." Ryan traps the other five in the library. Gavin then sets fire to the library while everyone is still in it. Michael discovers Edgar.
"Edgar is the one in the hole."
